Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre are a research centre based in Institute of Technology, Tralee (IT Tralee). We at Shannon ABC, IT Tralee operate a specialised Cosmetic Product Validation Service. It is through this facility that we support the development of new and innovative cosmetic companies as well as long-established companies looking to develop and improve their existing ranges.

We investigate the effects of cosmetics on skin through the use of skin testing probes and provide information that may validate claims such as "Increased moisture of skin" and "anti-aging". The skin probes used are 100% non-invasive, safe and cause no discomfort.

We are currently looking to expand our panel of volunteer participants.
