The School of Business and Humanities offers a wide range of study programs including Higher Certificate, Ordinary Bachelor Degree, Honours Degree and Masters degree programs. There are progression paths within the School from Higher Certificate through to Honours degree programs and many disciplines also offer ab-initio degree programs.

Recent innovations include the development of a suite of media programmes: BA Interactive Multimedia, BA TV, Radio and New Media Broadcasting, BA Music Technology and September 2012 will see the commencement of our MA in Creative Media.
The Hotel, Culinary and Tourism department have developed new degree programs including the BA in Adventure Tourism and BA Travel and Tourism.
The Humanities & Social Sciences department is now offering degree programs in Applied Social Studies, Early Childhood Care & Education and Youth & Community.
The Institute and the School of Business & Humanities has forged strong links with Industry and the Community. This has been facilitated through a number of initiatives as follows:
- Work Placement modules leading to innovative projects like IT/KTP Connect and the Transition Year Teaching Programme (TYTP)
- Links have been created and nurtured within the community through work placement of students undertaking programs in the Social Sciences
- Market Research projects undertaken by business students for organisations and industry in the region
- Hotel, Culinary and Tourism department engages with industry on a daily basis with representation from the department on Failte Ireland and All Kerry Tourism
- Collaboration with other Training and Educational bodies in the region has been facilitated through MOUS with FAS and KES. This offers progression opportunities to students and allows for sharing of expertise and facilities between these educational units.
The School of Business & Humanities continues to expand its range of programs and endeavours to support the learner whilst meeting the needs of Industry and the Community.
