COURSES ON OFFER
The School of Science and Computing is comprised of four Departments:
Currently, there are approx 800 whole-time students enrolled in the School with a further 200 involved in part-time, access and post-graduate studies. The School has a full-time staff of over 60. The School of Science and Computing continues to develop the range and level of courses available. In addition to the opportunities for students to progress from Higher Certificate to Ordinary Bachelor Degree, Honours Bachelor Degree and Post-graduate Studies it has added a new Ab-initio Degree in Computing with Enterprise Studies. Following on the success of the Graduate Ordinary Bachelor Degree/MSc in Computing in Education for teachers, a further Graduate Ordinary Bachelor Degree/MSc in Laboratory Science in Education is now available. The new Graduate Ordinary Bachelor Degree/B.Sc. in Nursing Studies provides enhanced career opportunities for students.
The School of Science & Computing has ambitions plans for many more new developments. Significant emphasis will be placed on development of the School's capacity to deliver programmes using ODL technologies and expanding its provision of suitable courses for industry and the community. Further, it will continue to expand its research facilities, building on its success to date.
