Nursing Clinical Skills Suites Facilities

These Suites are used for interpersonal skills development, counselling, group discourse, learning clinical skills such as vital signs recording, wound care, moving and handling, basic life support and more. The Nursing Clinical Skills Suites Facilities Comprise of:

• 2 Interpersonal Suites

Each suite has two rooms with mirrored glass partitions, video / camera recording system (Digital Nursing Archive (DNA) system) and sound systems which allow for interactive role play and interpersonal learning scenarios. These scenarios can be recorded and viewed live or after the event in other rooms within the Sólás Building. The learner can also have private access to these recordings from a college or home computer.

• 2 Clinical Skills Suites

Each Suite is designed in an open plan fashion to allow for multiple room usage and each suite simulates a ward environment . The Suites are equipped with a video / camera recording system (Digital Nursing Archive (DNA) system) for each bed space, 4 sinks, oxygen and suction points, projector system, white boards / flip chart stands and a large store of clinical skills equipment.
