PAN European Language and Culture InitiativePAN EUROPEAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE INITIATIVE BOOSTS CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
Project VOCAL will comprise online learning modules that will enable students to experience language and cultural problem solving via a ⿿virtual journey⿿ of a placement abroad. This online preparation tool will encourage students to interactively troubleshoot potential challenges they may encounter while training in a different country which will give them a head start when they seek work abroad. The EU Commission has invested more than ⿬300,000 in project VOCAL as part of the LdV (Leonardo da Vinci) Transfer of Innovation project under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. European countries including Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Portugal, Bulgaria, Finland, Lithuania and Ireland are all involved in this important initiative. Vocal is a follow on project from the award winning previous project "Problem SOLVE -which combined three key elements of language (general & specific), cultural and vocational background via a website which educated and motivated students planning to work abroad.
