LEEDS RHINOS DELIVER SPORTS DEVELOPMENT WORSKSHOPS FOR IT, TRALEE HEALTH & LEISURE STUDENTS

Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club, the current Super League Champions, will visit the Institute of Technology, Tralee on Leeds Rhinos Deliver Sports Development Workshops for IT, Tralee

IT, Tralee was the first undergraduate programme in the Republic of Ireland to offer education in the area of sports development. Indeed many of the graduates of the course have gone on to gain employment in key development positions in sport in Ireland with organisations such as the Irish Sports Council, the Special Olympics, Local Sports Partnerships and  in a number of local authorities.

In recognition of the lead role IT, Tralee has taken in relation to sports development education, Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club, whose management team are in Ireland on a planning conference, offered to share their expertise and perspective with the Health and Leisure students. 

They will host workshops in the areas of grass roots club development, girls and women in sport and data management and marketing in sport. They will also take the students through a fun practical session in Tralee Regional Sports Complex.  Leeds Rhinos Deliver Sports Development Workshops for IT, Tralee

The club mascot Ronnie Rhino will accompany the management team in their first such event in Ireland. IT, Tralee is pleased to welcome a club with such a proud tradition of sporting success and community involvement.
