Institute of Technology, Tralee Launches 30th Anniversary Childrens Art CompetitionThe Institute of Technology, Tralee is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To help mark this momentous occasion the
â¿¿When I Grow Upâ¿¿ is the theme and the Institute hopes children will be inspired to interpret the subject as freely as they wish â¿¿ be it their career plans, hopes for the future, their dreams of what the world will be like. Kerry artists, the Kerry County Council Arts Officer, IT, Tralee staff and students are among the judges who will be looking for imagination and good interpretation. IT, Tralee President, Michael Carmody, says: â¿¿We are looking forward to seeing the entries and hope children will enjoy getting involved the Instituteâ¿¿s 30 th anniversary celebrations.â¿ There are four categories and each winner will receive a new bicycle as well as a two hour art lesson with a professional artist. Each of the winning pieces will be framed and displayed on campus. |
