Sir Clive Granger Visits IT Tralee

Granger was the keynote speaker at a special economic symposium entitled, 'Is Forecasting Necessary?'
With the current economic crisis as the backdrop, this symposium offered invaluable insights from leading Irish and international thinkers who have knowledge of the financial tools essential for dealing with recession in Ireland.
Sir Clive Granger is a world-renowned economist and has been one of the most influential scholars in time series econometrics, the fundamental tool used in economic forecasting. Along with Robert F. Engle of New York University he shared the 2003 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences .
