Institute of Technology, Tralee Student Tractor Fundraiser in aid of the All Ireland Air Ambulance Fund 1st December 2008, Tralee
The Young Agricultural Engineers Society at the Institute of Technology Tralee, will run a tractor fundraiser from Tralee to Roscommon on December 4th and 5th in aid of the All Ireland Air Ambulance Fund.
The All Ireland Air Ambulance Fund is delighted to be linked with the event and are encouraging visitors to their web-site to donate to the charity and in doing so, support of the efforts of the students. â¿¿It is fantastic to see the students of IT Tralee doing such an unusual and novel fundraiser. We hope their originality will encourage people to support them along the way and donate what they can. Every cent raised will make a differenceâ¿ outlined Derek Rowe, spokesperson for the All Ireland Air Ambulance Fund.
The fundraiser will commence on Thursday 4th December with over twenty IT, Tralee students doing a local route travelling from Tralee to Castleisland. On Friday, December 5th students along with their contingent will depart from Abbeyfeale and travel via Newcastlewest to arrive in Limerick city at lunchtime. From there, the students will continue their journey to Birr in Co. Offaly. Following an overnight stay in Birr the group will commence the final leg of the tractor reverse on Saturday 7th December arriving in Roscommon at 3.30pm to a lunchtime reception.
