Fine Dining from Master Chefs at the IT Tralee The Hotel, Catering and Tourism Department of the Institute of Technology, Tralee will present an Evening Celebrating European Gastronomic Delights on Thursday 29th January @ 6.00 in the HCT Restaurant, North Campus, IT Tralee. Menu will include Hors D`Oeuvre Buffet, Fish Course, Sorbet, Meat Course, Dessert Buffet, Tea/Coffee.   Tickets are available from Chef T.J O Connor @ 066 7191807 at a cost of 35 euros.

This event is a grand finale of a week of master classes offered to the culinary students of the institute by two Master chefs Liam McMahon and Thomas Kraus. Both Chefs have a world of experience in the Hotel and Catering industry. Liam who was born in Dublin has been executive chef in a five star hotel in Germany for over 30 years and has had many students from IT Tralee work with him over the years, he is a member of Euro-Toques and is also a member of the judging panel for German Master Chefs association for many years.

Thomas Kraus who is a German Native is a highly acclaimed Michelin Star Chef and is the Chef Patron of Hotel Schachener Hof in Lindau which is southern Germany. This is the fourth year that the two chefs have been coming to offer this programme and according to Chef T.J O Connor the wealth of experience of both chefs has given our students a great experience and the students have benefited hugely from their Visits over the years, this is reflected in the feedback given by students every year.
