Institute Sees Rise in CAO Applicants

ITT CAO Applicants rise INSTITUTE SEES RISE IN CAO APPLICATIONS as increasing numbers of s tudents opt for the Institute of Technology, Tralee

The Institute of Technology , Tralee is leading the way in the popularity stakes with CAO applications up by more than 21% this year.

The rise, compared to the national average of 6%, puts the Institution among the top third level institutions for increased applications.

A number of factors have led to this growth in applications including new courses, such as the Adventure Tourism degree and a range of Pharmaceutical degree programmes, which the Institute introduced to meet the changing educational needs of employers and graduates.

IT, Tralee had a 23% increase in preferences for applications for Higher Certificate and Ordinary Degree programmes.   Traditional courses such as business, nursing, computing and engineering have continued to attract a strong interest from students.
