ITT_Strategy_for_Irish_Companies_1 Pictured at the Institute of Technology, Tralee (IT, Tralee) for the launch of the only Irish text on corporate strategy titled â¿¿Corporate Strategy for Irish Companiesâ¿¿ is author Gerry Gallagher.   The publication will assist students and managers alike in developing the skills required to lead companies.   It is a timely guide in these turbulent times.  Mr. Hugh Friel, Chair of Tourism Ireland official launched the book at the Institute on Wednesday May 20th.   The book is published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

There are four distinct parts to the book. The first part is concerned with laying the foundations necessary for sound strategic decisions. It discusses the importance of leadership in organisations and the establishing of balanced goals and objectives that are in line with the organisationâ¿¿s mission. It also examines corporate governance structures, business ethics and corporate social responsibility.

The second part deals with the analysis of the business environment and the internal capability of the organisation. The third examines a wide range of strategic options from which the company can choose and also provides a framework for decision-making.
The final part discusses how strategic plans are implemented and how companies deal with change.
