Aoife McSweeney, a native of Killarney and Susanna Holden, from Tralee were selected by an interview panel for the highly sought after work placements.   As part of the placement the students assisted in the general running of the orphanage along with providing awareness sessions to adults on topics such as HIV.

Prior to their departure to Lesotho both Aoife and Susanna organised a number of fundraising events in order to raise much needed funds for the orphanage.  Aoife and Susanna raised over €10,000 and presented a cheque to the orphanage.  These monies will contribute to new facilities and maintenance.
