IT Tralee Students scoop 8000 euro at Enterprise Ireland awards
Two Institute of Technology, Tralee post graduate students were awarded merits at the national Enterprise Ireland Student Enterprise competition held on 3rd June.
Donnachadh Walsh, won €4,000 for his project 'RootZone Nutrients' specialising in the manufacture and marketing of organic based active ingredients for root zone mixes such as golf courses, horticulture and sand based root zones.
Donnachadh , who was delighted with the award said "I'm hoping to use the cash prize for product branding and packaging".
Asim Zubair also received a merit and a cheque for €4,000 for his project 'Niche Protein' . Asim plans to develop, manufacture and sell a range of niche recombinant human proteins for use in quality control material material for Clinical Diagnostic Laboratories.
