IT, Tralee Open Day takes place on November 12th

Open Day 2010 The Institute of Technology Tralee hosts its annual Open Day on Friday November 12th  at the IT, Tralee North Campus.  

Running from 10am to 3pm, the day is packed full of activities which will be of interest to future third level students. College staff will be on hand to answer any queries that students may have on the many courses the ITT offers, in addition to college life in general at the Institute.

Presentations on the Institute programmes will run throughout the day as will practical workshops in areas such as multimedia, music technology and TV, radio and new media broadcasting.

Current students of the Institute will also be available on the 12th to answer the queries of future applicants to the college, giving their insight into the excellent opportunities the ITT offers as a third level destination.  

Representatives from the many sports clubs and societies at the ITT will provide details of the various extra curricular activities at the Institute.

For mature students who are interested in attending the Institute, information sessions will take place at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm in the Business and Information Technology Building. For students with a physical or learning disability a briefing session on the supports available will also take place in the same building at 10.00 am and 1 p.m. New to this years Open Day are workshops on Student Support Services, Admissions Procedures and a session on â¿¿How to Choose your Course⿝, which will take place 11.00 am and 1.00 pm.  

Throughout the day there will also be guided tours of the North Campus.

College Registrar, Dr. Oliver Murphy outlined the main benefits of attending the Institute⿿s Open Day, while encouraging as many people as possible in the region to avail of the opportunity to visit the college. ⿿The ITT Open Day provides the ideal forum for potential students to experience what campus life is like, as well as providing an excellent opportunity to get answers to queries that a future student may have in terms of a course, its content and employment opportunities. Students can also get information on many other college initiatives such as our Scholarship Programmes as well as details on the more than 60 clubs and societies the Institute offers.⿝
