CAO: Many Choices, One Decision: Choose IT, Tralee
In preparation for the CAO closing date of February 1st, the Institute of Technology, Tralee will host a series of Student Information Sessions and CAO Online Workshops on Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 12th of January at the ITT, North Campus. The workshops will commence at 6pm and run on the hour, every hour, with the last session scheduled at 8pm.
A number of the ITT Admissions Office and Student Services Team will be available on both evenings to deal with individual queries and to provide practical and hands-on assistance with the CAO application process.
The Institute has ran these workshops for the past number of years in response to the increased demand from potential students. From first time CAO applicants, through to those interested in returning to college as a mature student and applicants participating on a related FETAC course offered by Kerry Education Services (KES) or FÁS these workshops should prove invaluable.
The Institute of Technology, Tralee and KES also have an agreed Bonus Points Access Scheme, where bonus points are awarded to CAO applicants from KES, who have achieved specific FETAC Awards and who meet the pre-requisites for entry to specific IT, Tralee programmes. Details of this scheme will also be outlined on the evening of the workshops.
As students finalise their CAO applications, ITT College Registrar Dr. Oliver Murphy encouraged potential students to the Institute to attend the workshops and to avail of the opportunity to meet with Institute staff. â¿¿The Institute hosted a very successful Open Day in November, attended by almost 1400 second level students. In addition to this event, the Institute also offers an extensive schools liaison programme, whereby potential students receive details about the many courses offered by the Institute. The January workshops further augment our communication with potential students and feedback from those who have attended in the past, have found these sessions extremely beneficial in terms of their hands-on, practical nature.â¿
The Institute offers a broad range of programmes to honours degree level in the areas of Multimedia and Music Technology, Nursing, Business, Hotel, Catering and Tourism, Social Studies, Software and Games Development, Engineering and Construction Studies, Health and Leisure, Wildlife Biology and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Details on the various courses on offer are available at Courses or by contacting the Admissions Office at 066-7145638.
Attendance at the workshop does not require pre-booking. All are welcome to attend.
