Applications now open for the National Trainee Manager Development Programme
The Institute of Technology, Tralee in partnership with the Irish Hotels Federation and Fáilte Ireland are pleased to announce details of the National Trainee Manager Development Programme which will commence at the Institute in February 2011. This programme offers those currently employed in the Hotel Industry the opportunity to pursue a degree in Hotel Management while simultaneously working with their sponsoring employer. Each year of the programme will comprise of the delivery of 60 credits of study through a blended learning approach. This programme will require candidates to spend 7 weeks per annum at IT, Tralee’s state of the art facilities in the Hotel, Culinary and Tourism Building. During this period six modules will be delivered. The remaining modules will be delivered on-line and through work based learning.
Costing €1,200 per annum, 50% of the fees are redeemable from the employer on successful completion of each year of the programme. Applicants should be employed in the sponsoring hotel for at least 3 months before course commencement. Applicants under 23 years of age must have passed five subjects in the Leaving Certificate including Maths and English. Mature applicants, i.e. applicants over 23 year of age by 1st January 2012, are not required to have a Leaving Certificate.
Application direct to the Institute of Technology, Tralee on or before Friday 20th January, 2012. Priority will be given to applicants who apply before this date.
