HCT students attend the Association of Irish Festivals & Events Conference in Galway

Thirteen third year travel and tourism management and adventure tourism management degree students from IT, Tralee , recently attended the two day Association of Irish Festivals & Events conference in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The students who are studying ‘Events Management’ as part of BA in Adventure Tourism Management & BA in Travel & Tourism Management courses at the college, heard speakers discussing various topics relevant to event management,  including James McVeigh, Head of Marketing,  Festivals Edinburgh and Nigel Hinds, Creative Producer with the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Students also had the chance to network with a wide array of industry experts and to examine possible options for work placement.
