Today, Friday 30th November sees the launch of a series of networking lunch time events which will be held on the last Friday of every month at the IT, Tralee North Campus. The ‘Bank of Ireland Lunch Club @ Tom Crean Business Centre’ provides an opportunity for businesses located at the Tom Crean Business Centre to come together, network and learn from business experts. The Lunch Club is also open to entrepreneurs involved in new business setup throughout the county.
Commenting at the launch Mr. Frank Shaw, Branch Manager, Bank of Ireland Tralee said, “Bank of Ireland is delighted to be associated with this series of Lunch Club events. The Bank has a long standing association with IT, Tralee, with an on-campus presence since 1999. This sponsorship will further enhance our relationship with the growing business community at the Tom Crean Business Centre and Kerry Technology Park who share the North Campus with IT, Tralee. Through these networking events we hope to outline to businesses how they can benefit from our wide range of banking and practical business start-up solutions”.
The inaugural Lunch Club addressed the topic of ‘Financing for Start-Up Business’ and was led by Gerry Prizeman, Head of Small Business & Agriculture at Bank of Ireland. During his talk Mr. Prizeman outlined the financing options available to start-up companies and the expertise available at Bank of Ireland to assist entrepreneurs in growing their business. He also advised the business community that Bank of Ireland is ‘open for business’, has credit available and is keen to lend to viable new businesses.
At the launch Ms. Anne Looney, Marketing & Enterprise Officer at IT, Tralee outlined the variety of topics and speakers which will be featured during the year. “We are delighted to have such diverse range of business expertise represented over the series of events. From food sustainability to sales, intellectual property & trade marks to raising equity investments; there is something to interest all start-ups businesses.
