IT, Tralee Music Technology Students Create a World Wide YouTube Hit

Music Technology students at IT, Tralee Eoin O'Leary, from Tralee and David Williams, from Killarney have created a YouTube clip entitled 'Pulp Fiction Kerry Shtyle' which has become a world-wide hit viewed over 170,000 times.

The clip was created as part of a class exercise in dialogue recording. This is the third year that the scene has been recorded in class for the Audio Post Production module but is the first time it has been posted on YouTube. The clip has featured in local and national press and radio including; the Kerryman, Kerry's Eye, Irish Independent, Killarney Advertiser, 2FM and FM104 in Dublin.

Both students will begin a 12 week work placement next month. Eoin has secured a placement as a research assistant with the world renowned MTG music technology research facility at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. David will complete his placement with a record label based in Kerry where he will work on music production, distribution and promotion.
