Killarney Regional Learning Centre (KRLC)

Killarney Regional Learning Centre Located in Park Court, Beech Road, the Killarney Regional Learning Centre (KRLC) is a higher education access, support and educational guidance centre, established by the Shannon Consortium partners - the Institute of Technology, Tralee, the University of Limerick, Limerick Institute of Technology and Mary Immaculate College. The Institute of Technology, Tralee is the lead partner for the Killarney Centre. The centre is funded under the HEA administered Strategic Innovation Fund.

Third Level Programmes

The Institute of Technology, Tralee currently deliver a Certificate in Entrepreneurship Studies in Killarney. This certificate aims to provide programme participants with the skills required for the set-up and development of their own business. The institute is currently developing programmes for delivery in Killarney in 2010, please contact the centre for more information.

Workshops
The aim of the workshops is to offer guidance to adults considering pursuing a third level course, providing those attending with some of the skills required to engage effectively in third level.

Educational Guidance Service

In addition to the workshops an Educational Guidance Service will offer information and individual advice and guidance to anyone over 18 years, who is interested in finding out about learning opportunities at third level. As the service operates on the basis of appointments only, please contact the centre on 064-6671055 to schedule an interview with an educational guidance counsellor.
