Students and staff of the Department of Social Sciences gathered for a tree planting ceremony on the college grounds this week. The students, who are social care professionals, were marking the end of their three-year degree programme at the Institute of Technology Tralee. The ceremony which took place in brilliant sunshine involved the planting of a beech tree which aptly symbolises learning, knowledge and understanding.
