Parenting Our Children Art & Science presents its seventh seminar this year and is honoured to welcome the world renowned parenting author Steve Biddulph to the Institute of Technology, Tralee.
Steve Biddulph is one of the world's best known parenting authors. A psychologist for 25 years, he is now retired but continues to write and teach. His books including ‘The Secret of Happy Children’, ‘Raising Boys’, ‘The New Manhood’ and now ‘Raising Girls’. His books are in four million homes and 31 languages.
The seminars will take place at the IT, Tralee North Campus on Thursday 11th September (session for professionals) and on Saturday 13th September (general session). Over 250 people are expected at both seminars and as this is Steve’s only public appearance in Ireland, many people will be travelling to Kerry for this event.
Steve will focus on parenting boys and girls and raising happy children in his seminars in Tralee. Steve believes that “girls need to be supported to be more self-believing, and boys more connected and guided into being good men. It means that, yes, parents who have both boys and girls do need to treat them differently-although varying temperaments are even more of an issue then gender for parenting styles”.
There are limited places remaining for the seminar that is supported by the IT, Tralee and the HSE and places can be booked by visiting parentingourchildren.org
