Radio Kerry wants people to Help Kick Cancer
In the run up to the All Ireland Football Final Radio Kerry is asking Kerry fans, at home and abroad, to proudly show their Kerry colours, and record a short message of support for the Kerry team. They want to put that pride to good use too though by asking fans to kick a ball forward to other fans and make a donation of €4 to the Irish Cancer Society.
Radio Kerry General Manager Fiona Stack said the station wanted to do something positive to raise funds for the fight against cancer as part of its All Ireland coverage. She added, “we know Kerry fans in the Kingdom and all around the world are going to be outdoing themselves in their displays of Green and Gold in the coming weeks. When they do we are asking them to record a short video with the following message, upload it to Facebook or Twitter, make a donation to the Irish Cancer Society and Kick the Ball forward to help Kick Cancer”.
Ciaran O Regan Radio Kerry Presenter of the Pulse went one step further and challenged the Creative Media students of the Institute to Kick for the Kingdom. Mary Lucey from the Creative Media Department has said that it would be a wonderful gesture for students to support this campaign and to upload their clips to the department facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/CMITTralee
