Graduate Assembly and Graduation
One hour before your ceremony is due to begin, please go to room W220, Aerobics Studio on Level 2 of the Kerry Sports Academy. There, you will be directed by a nominated Staff Member to form a line in alphabetical order (as per the Conferring Booklet which will be available to you). Anyone not present at the time of assembly will be deemed to be absent and will have his or her award conferred in absentia (where applicable). You will then be directed to the Conferring Hall. You will be called to be conferred in strict alphabetical order and you must therefore take the correct seat.
Following the academic procession and introductions, graduates will go up to the podium to receive their parchments. The order of the programme is outlined in the conferring booklet. You are welcome to take this booklet home with you as a souvenir.
When your name is called, you should mount the podium to receive your parchment. The President of the Institute of Technology Tralee will present it to you. After you have accepted your parchment and shaken hands with the President, you should descend. You will then be directed by staff to return to the same seat.
