Asia Center

The Asia Center at ITT was founded to promote greater understanding of Asia in Ireland and to provide a forum for faculty and student interest in the region. The Center is essentially an interdisciplinary organization of faculty and student associates, each of whom has a deep interest in promoting research and exchange between Ireland and Asia. The Director of the Center, Prof. George Zhang, is a native of China who has a deep interest in Ireland and particularly in Irish enterprise.

Specific goals of the Asia Center include:

• To promote multi-disciplinary exposure to Asia for student of ITT.
• To encourage educational exchanges between ITT and partner institutions in Asia.
• To sponsor a series of speakers throughout the academic year.
• To promote postgraduate research programs in international trade and enterprise.
• To promote short-term and semester length study-abroad programs in Asia.
