Muslim Students Society

Is a new society in the IT Tralee (set up in September 2008) The Muslim Students Society aims to provide a platform for Muslim students studying at the Institute of Technology Tralee to interact, exchange ideas, socialise and create rapport. It also serves as a link for the understanding of Islam for Muslims, as well as students of other religious backgrounds who are interested in learning about Islam.

The purpose to have Muslim Student Society is to:
• Serve the interests and welfare of Muslim students
• To make their stay at ITT enjoyable
• A source of increasing their faith as better Muslims
• Serve as a bridge for people of various faiths who seek to understand Islam and Muslims
• To clarify any misconceptions about Islam and Muslims while promoting positive relationships with other religious and cultural groups.

The Muslim Students Society are hosting the IT Tralee's first Islamic Awareness Day on Thursday 30th April in the Solas Building from 10am-6pm.

Launch of Islamic Awareness Day 2009 and speech by Shamshad Khan on THE Five Pillars OF ISLAM followed by Q&A session, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT

11.45am:

Documentary movie on THE MUSLIM JESUS, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT

1pm-2pm :

Mosque Open Day, Kerry Islamic Cultural Centre, Fortfield,

Killerisk Road
, Tralee (near King’s Court).

2.05pm:

Documentary Movie on MIRACLES OF THE QURAN, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT

3.15pm:

 

Islamic Speech by Shamshad Khan on QURAN AND SCIENCE followed by Q&A session, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT

5.00pm:

 

Documentary Movie on BIOGRAPHY: MUHAMMED- THE PROPHET, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT

6.15pm:

 

Islamic Speech by Shamshad Khan on EXISTENCE OF THE CREATOR followed by Q&A session, Solas Building, North Campus, ITT
