NetSoc

Net Soc - NetSoc was set up in 2002. At the start it was all word of mouth, and it would be a gamble whether people showed up or not! Nevertheless it was lots of fun. The college computers were ok, but not really good enough so a lot of people brought their own laptops.

The computers nowadays are more than capable of running our games. We play games like Counterstrike, Counterstrike Source, Call of Duty, Wolfenstein ET, Battlefield 2, warcraft III, etc.

Now we have pretty decent computers and access to 2 labs (R204 and R206) that allow multiplayer sessions with over 60 players on one night!

In 2008 we won an award at the National Societies Awards Night (BICS) for Best Improved Society. For more information on NetSoc log on to our website on www.netsoctralee.com
