What Is A tCard?
A new era in technology
Let's start by briefly explaining the main features and benefits of your tCard. The traditional student ID card has now been replaced with an all-new smart card. This intelligent little piece of plastic is about to become a big part of your life at The Institute of Technology Tralee. In addition to being your own confidential electronic purse, it's also your key to the printing and photocopying services at the Institute.
Simply swipe your tCard on any of the electronic card readers at a photocopier or printer. The card reader will read the present balance in your card account, deduct the amount of your purchase and display the remaining balance.
Money can be transferred from almost any bank account through the Bank Of Ireland ATM machines located on campus. This allows students to transfer money onto their T-Card account without the need to handle cash.
