I spent three great years in IT Tralee and graduated in 2001 with a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering. I am now working in the Agricultural machinery manufacturing section as head of production and design. The course at Tralee was perfect for the job I have now, as it provided both practical and theory based subjects. The experience of the teaching staff to help with projects and assignments was a great help to get the right type of skills from the course. The variety of clubs and societies makes it very easy to make new friends from all over the country and abroad.

After completing a three year Diploma in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering in IT Tralee in 2004, I worked as a Process Technician for a medical device company in Limerick. In 2005 I returned to IT, Tralee to complete the add-on degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Part of the Degree course involves six month work experience which is excellent. I can not speak highly enough of the lecturers in the Engineering Department at IT, Tralee. I am now in my second year working as a Service Engineer for a Laboratory Diagnostics company, installing and repairing medical analysers in hospital labs.

I am currently in first year of Quantity Surveying and looking forward to my second year in September. The course is very interesting and challenging with subjects like drawing, mechanics and site surveying. It really prepares you for work when you finish college. The lecturers in the IT are helpful and really motivate students. With the academic year split into two semesters, and continuous assessments, it really takes the pressure off at exam times.

I graduated from IT Tralee with an ordinary degree in Civil Engineering in 2006. The computer facilities and civil engineering laboratories provided in IT Tralee are of a very high standard; the lecturers are friendly and approachable; and the course content places an emphasis on teaching relevant and practical material. I thoroughly enjoyed the three years in Tralee; and for anyone interested in applying for a 3rd level course in Civil Engineering, I couldn't recommend IT, Tralee more highly.
