The Institute libraries provide access to a wide variety of information resources to support the learning and research needs of students and staff, from undergraduate to PhD level.

The North Campus Library holds material covering, among other subjects, Computing, Law, Sociology, Nursing & Healthcare, Tourism, Hotel & Catering, Business, Management and Languages.
The South Campus Library holds material covering, among other subjects, Engineering, Construction, Health & Leisure and Science.
The Main Collections is the north and south campus libraries house books that can be issued to users.
Copies of frequently used items are kept in the Short Loan Collection at the library desk. Lecturer-owned items are also kept at the library desk in the Lecturer's Material Collection. Items in both these collections can be reserved in advance and are for use in the library only.
There are also many reference sources in the library reserved for library use only, including Trade Directories, Statistics, Official Publications and Encyclopaedias.
The library stocks current and back issues of over 150 journals, as well as subscribing to hundreds of online journals.
Daily national newspapers, as well as local weekly newspapers, are available in the library. These collections are for library use only. Back issues of daily nationals are stored for a three-month period.
A diverse range of titles are kept in Video and DVD format. These items can be borrowed by users or alternatively viewed in our purpose-built Audio Visual Room located on the ground floor of the LIRC.
