Module Description/Aims:

  The learner will undertake a work based learning module in the hospitality sector. The workbased learning enables the learner to apply, develop and integrate skills sets within each relevant deparmtne. The learner will develop an awareness of the relevant working department within the hotel and will apply theoretical and practical knowledge gained in their studies.

Assessment Strategies
All learning outcomes will be assessed on an ongoing basis by means of task recording lists, work based learning reflective journal, written report, presentation and performance appraisals
The learner must complete a task skills list for each department (Pass/Fail)
The employer must complete a performance appraisal for each year (Pass/Fail)
Tutor will visit each establishment once a year to verify training record
