Module Description/Aims:

  The aim of the placement is to introduce the learner to a structured employment in a relevant work sector and to allow the learner to develop an understanding of the workplace environment. It also aims to provide an opportunity to the learner to apply the academic theory in practice.

Content Detail
Work placement practiceStudents are required to spend a minimum of 12 weeks on work placement. The learner will be required to take on the role of an employee in the work place and to undertake duties and responsibilities as appropriate.


 
Assessment Strategies show detail >>
   
Assessment Strategies
This module is assessed on a pass/fail basis. To pass students must evidence satisfactory completion of 12 weeks work placement through the submission of a workplace logbook signed by the work place supervisor.
The work placement supervisor will complete and end of work placement report evaluating the overall satisfaction with the learners engagement with and contribution to the organisation throughout the 12 week placement.
