2011 Adults Learners Festival The Adult Learners’ Festival is a nationwide celebration of adult learning coordinated by AONTAS: the National Adult Learning Organisation. It is about:

Celebrating  -  adult learning and the achievements of adult learners;
Showcasing  -  the work of adult education providers;
Promoting  -  the work of AONTAS and the adult education sector;
Ensuring  -  that adult education is placed firmly on the political agenda.

To celebrate the Festival the Institute is hosting a number of events during the week Monday 20th February – Friday 24th February.

Monday, 20th February (12.55pm -2pm) Lunch for Mature Students in the HCT Restaurant including an After Dinner Speech from a past Mature Student.

Wednesday 29th February (10.30am -11.15am) Coffee Morning for Mature Students- South Campus, Back Shop

Monday, 20th February – Friday 24th February

  • ‘Words of Wisdom’ - Learning Tree situated in the North Campus Library for mature students to share their thoughts on their experience to date as Adult Learners.
  • Library Trouble Shooting Tutorials – North Campus. Please check for further detail at the Library Information Desk
