Welcome to the 18th conference of the European Institute for Outdoor Adventure Education and Experiential Learning (EOE).

The 2019 conference will be hosted by the Institute of Technology Tralee, a higher education college on Ireland’s Atlantic coast and the UNESCO Chair in Inclusive PE, Sport, Recreation and Fitness. The EOE Network is a vibrant association of practitioners and academics and this three-day conference will reflect that mix with practitioner case studies, practical workshops and academic presentations. It is a key networking event for social and youth workers, teachers and educators, students and academics from across Europe.

The theme of this year’s conference is Diversity and Inclusion in Outdoor & Experiential Learning.

The subthemes are:

• Inclusion of people with disabilities and their families in OEL/ OE
• Inclusion of people underrepresented or socially excluded in OEL/OE
• Inter-generational inclusion & inclusion across the lifespan in OEL/OE
• Social or cultural diversity in Outdoor Experiential Learning/OE
