The Department of Nursing and Health Care Sciences extends a warm welcome to all nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. Its postgraduate educational framework continues to evolve in response to progressive changes in health care practice, policy, research and local learner need.
The programmes outlined above are provided at National Framework of Qualifications levels 8 and 9 and are approved by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) as well as the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
The MSc in Nursing is a taught programme that can be taken on a full time or alternatively over a staged basis and members of the Department team can help you with planning your study pathway. The post-registration Diplomas have been a very successful and attractive option for some nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in building on their knowledge and skills in certain unique areas such as quality and safety, wound care and leadership.
Students will share some classes with other professional groups such as students taking masters in creative media, adapted physical activity and social care, as well as nurses and midwives from across Ireland and abroad.
The Department Team look forward to supporting your decision making, and learning, should you decide to register for further education here at the Institute of Technology Tralee.
