The Institute welcomes applications from students with disabilities and specific health conditions. The Institute liaises regularly with the Department of Education, Awarding Bodies, the Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (AHEAD), KARC and Kerry Deaf Resource Centre and the many specific support organisations to ensure that all students with disabilities and specific health conditions can participate fully in the academic and social life of the Institute.
If you have a disability/specific health condition which you believe should be brought to the attention of the Institute, you should write 'Medical Condition/Disability' along the bottom of page 1 of the CAO application form, below your signature. You may wish to contact the Access Officer to discuss facilities and services and to receive a copy of the Institutes Disability Support Services Guide.
Students with medical conditions are advised to contact the IT, Tralee Nurse to discuss health services for students.
