New Students - Orientation and Programme Information

Getting ready to start college is an exciting time and we want to fulfil your expectations and get you on the right track from the beginning. That is why orientation is an important time for you.

Orientation is a preparation week for new students to the institute. It gives new students a chance to familiarise themselves with the college environment and experience a taste of third level before lectures commence on 12th September. There are no formal lectures during orientation week however, students will complete outstanding registration issues, get their t-card (student card), meet with support services and the Students' Union. Students will also meet their Head of Department, academic staff, tutors, current students and also meet new classmates and other peers.

Make sure you attend all of the sessions offered so that you don't miss anything that you may need at a later stage in the year, enjoy getting to know your new classmates and, importantly, don't hesitate to ask any member of staff or the Student Leaders around campus, if you find yourself lost or confused at any time! If you have questions about Orientation, please phone us (066) 7191722 or email: supportservices@ittralee.ie
