You could be eligible for one of the many scholarships offered at the Institute of Technology, Tralee. The Institute has a variety of scholarships available to all students in a range of disciplines and which are supported by community organisations and the Institute.
The scholarships reward excellence and encourage outstanding performance in a variety of fields. Scholarships are provided in recognition of academic excellence and some are awarded to talented sports athletes and performers/artists.
Sports Scholarships Students at IT Tralee
Past recipients were involved in Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Camogie, Football, Handball, Hockey, Hurling, Judo, Ladies Soccer, Rowing, Rugby, Soccer and Taekwon-Do
We also offer an Elite Performance Scholarship in recognition of the exceptional commitment and achievement exhibited by some of our students in their pursuit of both their sporting and academic goals.

Duration: For the full course i.e. of 2, 3 or 4 years duration, subject to annual review

Organisations Offering Scholarships and Bursaries are as follows:
VALUE: €1,000 per year, subject to satisfactory academic performance each year
DURATION: Two year maximum subject to annual reapplication and review

GAA OFFICE: This scholarship is ONLY OPEN to ITT registered students from the Munster region.

Thomas McEllistrim Memorial Scholarship
FOR: A student who has attended a second level school in Kerry who validly registers on either the BSc (Honours) in General Nursing or the BSc (Honours) in Mental Health Nursing at IT, Tralee.
VALUE: €1,000
DURATION: One academic year
HOW TO APPLY: The scholarship will be awarded to the student obtaining the highest points in the Leaving Certificate Examination and who is not already in receipt of a scholarship
Tralee Credit Union Scholarship
FOR: Students in receipt of the ESF Student Assistance Fund and who are members
of Tralee Credit Union will be considered for the scholarship
VALUE: Two scholarships of €1,000 per year
DURATION: One academic year
HOW TO APPLY: Students who are in receipt of the ESF Student Assistance Fund can opt to be considered for the scholarship as part of their application
