The Erasmus+ scheme is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan, and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also:

  • Supports the European Pillar of Social Rights
  • Implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027
  • Develops the European dimension in sport

Erasmus+ offers mobility and cooperation opportunities in:

  • Higher Education
  • Vocational Education and Training
  • School Education (including early childhood education and care)
  • Adult Education
  • Youth
  • Sport

Detailed information on these opportunities, including eligibility criteria, is available in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.  The outcomes of Erasmus+ are available in reports and compendia of statistics, as well as through the Erasmus+ Projects Platform. This includes most of the initiatives funded by the programme and a selection of good practices and success stories.

Participation in European Commission projects is all about creating social cohesion among member states. Cooperation with members from different European countries will ensure that we respect each other and continue to value the culture and diversity that Europe has to offer in all of its member states. Diversity in Unity is not a contradiction but an ideal that we are striving for and that makes Europe a very special place in the world.

For example, the main European values and principles are: Human dignity, Freedom, Democracy, Equality, Rule of Law, and Human Rights. These fundamental values are defined in the Treaty of Lisbon

Cooperation with international teams will broaden one's horizon about one's area of discipline. Active exchanges of comparing and contrasting one's own educational environment with others is always beneficial and will enhance professional growth. Furthermore, the educational material that is produced by the partnerships is often complementary to the teaching material of MTU modules.

Very often the project partners become more than just professional colleagues but also friends for life. Normally project partners are very engaged in the projects and very enthusiastic about their projects.
