MTU Kerry Campus’ policy on access is designed to promote and facilitate entry to and participation in the academic programmes and student life of the University by mature students, students with disabilities and students who experience social or economic disadvantage and lack of educational opportunity. The University is committed to promoting access to higher education for under-represented groups :

Students who avail of support from the Access Office are experiencing challenges accessing and participating in higher education for personal, social or financial reasons such as:

• Returning to education after a period of time
• Personal circumstances such as ongoing illness or disability
• Experiencing severe financial difficulties
• Managing family commitments, responsibilities and study
• Adjusting to a new environment outside their cultural and ethnic experience
