This course focuses on the need to provide people with a good knowledge of agricultural engineering and at the same time have expertise in management and related skills in marketing and finance. These graduates will provide engineering, management and related knowledge and skills to the agricultural engineering sector generally and in particular to the agricultural machinery-distributing sector and to the agricultural machinery-manufacturing sector.
In addition graduates will be able to obtain employment, amongst others, in the areas of waste management, pollution management and control, agricultural engineering consultancy and in recycling. The course aims to provide graduates who can make meaningful contributions to the productivity, efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural services and manufacturing companies; who can help in the development of new products and who can aid in the development of new markets, both internally and abroad.
While making these contributions graduates will be able to take into account environmental, health & safety, legal and other issues that may arise.
